I have been waiting for weeks to go on this awesome adventure with my friend Tonia. We left the kids and the husbands at home and had the best weekend ever. I would have loved for my family to come with me on this trip but they was unable to come so I invited a good friend.
Tonia and I left my house around 7:30 am for a wild adventurous road trip. It should have taken us 5.5 hours to get to Pigeon Forge took us approximately 12 hours to arrive at our hotel. We stopped at the North Carolina visitors center and stretched our legs for a few minutes. Then we hit the road again and stopped in Tennessee at their visitors center. Then , we traveled along until our next stop at the Bush’s Visitors Canter.
On the way to Pigeon Forge , Tonia and I were not in a hurry. We enjoyed every minute of our travels. I was a bit nervous because I am not used to traveling out of state and in lots of traffic. (I survived )
When we arrived in Pigeon Forge the traffic was a bit heavy. We knew this was going to be a great weekend. I felt like I was riding on the strand in Myrtle Beach .
Soon as we got to Pigeon Forge, we went straight to the Titanic Museum.
You can not take photos inside the museum. The Titanic Museum really put some light into how the people on that ship felt the night that the ship hit the iceberg. You got to see how the different class of people lived on board the ship. When you arrive you get a boarding pass and at the end you will find out if the person you are survived or died. The lady I got she survived .
You can also get a audio player and I highly recommend you getting the audio player. The museum is a self guided tour. At certain places on the ship will be guides giving a bit of information along the way. You can touch a replica of a iceberg and feel exactly how cold the iceberg felt. You also could put your hand in the ice cold water and feel what the people felt on that very night. You could visit this attraction more than once and find a little bit more of history in each visit.
You will feel as if you were there on the ship that night. I am so glad I was able to experience this part of history.
Titanic Museum Attraction in Pigeon Forge is a celebration of the ship, passengers and crew! It is said that the best way to respect and honor those who gave their lives is to simply tell their stories. As the whole world remembers the world’s most famous luxury liner, Titanic Museum Attraction in Pigeon Forge, Tn. willcontinue to open the door to the past in it’s one-of-a-kind way – letting “passengers” experience what it was like to walk the hallways, parlors, cabins and Grand Staircase of the Titanic while surrounded by more than 400 artifacts directly from the ship and its passengers. As visitors touch a real iceberg, walk the Grand Staircase and third class hallways, reach their hands into 28-degree water, and try to stand on the sloping decks, they learn what it was like on the RMS Titanic by experiencing it first-hand.
Tonia and I left the Titanic Museum and checked in at the hotel around 6ish or so. We stayed at the Music Road Hotel, one street off the main highway. If you have never visited Pigeon Forge, everything is so close and you do not have a lot of traveling from one destination to another. If you did not want to drive you could also get a trolley. You may can even walk to some places .
The Music Road Hotel is a very nice hotel. I love the view soon as you walk in you see a beautiful fire place setting. I did not get a picture, someone was always around the fireplace. When I left they was in the middle of working on setting up the Christmas tree. Our room had 2 queen size beds , the bathroom had a bench you could sit on to do your hair or make up. They even had a little jar that had cotton balls and q-tips. They had makeup remover wipes and shampoo, conditioner and lotion samples. They have a full breakfast and coffee and juices. The biscuits and gravy were so good. The inside pool is open for use at all times of the year. Of course I did not go swimming . My summer tan has disappeared. The staff was very friendly and helpful when asking about places to visit in Pigeon Forge.
There is a small river behind the hotel. This is a relaxing environment. They had sunflower seeds and nuts for the squirrels on the pillars outside.

Tonia and I really loved how well they get the audience involved in the show. I really loved when Danny had 4 guys come on stage. He placed buckets under each of them. He pulled the buckets from under the guys and they did not fall.
On Saturday ,Tonia and I had another full day of fun adventures planned. We went over toParrot Mountain. I was a bit scare to drive up the mountain. I do not do well with hills. I called them and they came down and picked us up. I live on flat land and hills scare me. If my husband was driving he would have drove up without a problem.
Once we got into Parrot Mountain we saw the most beautiful birds. You can hand feed the parrots. Make sure to have some quarters with you. You will not want to leave the feeding station.
Ben, works in the nursery with the birds. He was very knowledgeable and so helpful. We stayed with the babies for awhile. He had some that was about 6 months old and he said they were in their terrible twos. You can even purchase a bird to take home, their trained staff will show you how to feed your bird and give you instructions on how to take care of your new member of your family. You will be able to purchase everything to care for your bird, they can also ship your bird if you would like.Parrot Mountain accepts donations to help with the birds. You can take pictures with the birds and that money goes to help feeding the birds.
If you like Thomas Kinkade’s Art work and the beauty of the smoky mountains you’re going to love this place. “I’ve never seen this many birds in one place, this must be somewhat like the garden of eden must have been like, a spiritual oasis, the most beautiful and peaceful place I have ever been in, Is this heavens gate, Little paradise and so on I’ve learned so much about the care and well being of these magnificent creatures. Horticulturists say “these gardens rival the best”.
We headed to the Hollywood Wax Museum when we left Parrot Mountain. We had the most fun EVER!!
I think Tonia and I had the most fun running around snapping pictures of all the stars in the Hollywood Wax Museum. You can see how the stars look up close. You can not tell how big or small someone is until you visit the wax museum it shows you. Bella on Twilight is a tiny lady.
The new Hollywood Wax Museum has become an instant landmark in the Smoky Mountain community of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. High on the hill at the corner of Parkway Boulevard and Showplace Boulevard in Pigeon Forge, Hollywood Wax Museum is the only wax museum in the country devoted entirely to celebrity figures. The two-story Museum brings Pigeon Forge tourists and locals into the world of Hollywood Stars and allows visitors to get close to some of the most famous people in show business, recreated so faithfully that you’d swear they are were alive. Hollywood Wax Museum houses tons of uncanny replicas, lending themselves to fun photo opportunities for guests. If you’re waxing for fun things to do in Pigeon Forge TN, the country’s largest Hollywood Wax Museum is a must-see.
You can find them on Facebook. You will have a blast it is so much fun letting loose and taking pictures. I normally run from the camera.
Soon as we left the wax museum we headed to the Hatfield & McCoy dinner show.

Tennessee Moonshine, at the Hatfield and McCoy show. Yes, I think I did have one glass. You get a nice dinner and a GREAT show. We had fried chicken, corn on the cob, biscuits, veggie soup, mashed potatoes, slaw, and pulled pork. The food was so good. I loved the veggie soup so much I bought a bag to bring back home with me. The soup does not have veggies but it is a creamy white soup. I wish I had bought more than just one bag.
You have certain sides and one side is the Hatfield’s and the other side is the McCoy side. We were the Hatfield’s.The show is very entertaining and the food is out of this world good ole country cookn’.

I loved the tigers, they have a white tiger that is one of 300. I am not sure which would be my all time favorite of the show but I am thinking I loved the magic show.
These tigers are beautiful animals. The juggler had us laughing so hard. I can only imagine him as a grandpa keeping his grand-kids happy and entertained.
The music was wonderful and every aspect of the show was awesome. This was not boring at all and you are entertained the whole show.
At each and every show we attended they gave respects to our military servicemen and women.
Our last adventure before we came back home to South Carolina was a short ride to Gatlinburg. The ride over was stunning with the falls colors coming in. We went to the Ripley’s Aquarium. My favorite part of the aquarium was watching the penguins.
“There are more fish in this aquarium than there are people living in the entire town of Gatlinburg.” Although Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies is hundreds of miles from the ocean, the scenic beauty and the abundance of water all around makes the town of Gatlinburg a “natural” location for a world-class aquarium, voted America’s #1 aquarium by TripAdvisor!
When we arrived I noticed my camera batteries died. I was so happy that I found some inside the aquarium. I went through 8 batteries in 3 days snapping so many pictures.
Make sure you visit on Facebook and on Twitter. The aquarium is for all ages. Another one of my favorites at the aquarium is petting a stingray. The shark tunnel is amazing and I always laugh at the faces they make.
This has been one very adventurous trip and we stayed busy the whole time. A lot of businesses are getting ready to decorated for the Christmas season. I would really love to visit during the holidays. I can only imagine how beautiful everything is during that time. Remember if you are visiting Pigeon Forge that everything is pretty much centrally located. You will have a blast on your trip.
